She has an integrative approach to astrology which encompasses archetypal, evolutionary and humanistic astrology, and she uses the Whole Signs house system. Peggy is pursuing a PhD through Pacifica Graduate Institute, where her studies in depth psychology are reflected in her work as an astrologer. This strengthens her approach to the art and creates a deeper psychospiritual perspective of the signs, the planets and the houses that describe the qualities of a person’s personality, challenges, natural strengths, and soul path.
Peggy became a professional astrologer in 2017, following a longtime career as a development professional. Even though she loved her prior work, the universe was calling her to do something else, and a serious problem with ongoing migraines made her finally listen to her body and soul’s somatic messaging. Once she began to follow her true passion—astrology—the migraines began to subside. As an astrologer who incorporates evolutionary astrology, her central focus is on the soul’s evolutionary path. “Within each person’s natal chart, they have what’s called the nodal path,” notes Peggy. “The south node essentially represents where a person’s soul left off in evolution in the last incarnation, or it may be a culmination of energies from several prior incarnations. The south node represents a way of being the soul knows well and uses as a foundation from which to evolve. Our south node qualities sooner or later cause us to feel stuck. We must learn to experience its qualities in a more enlightened way. In that regard, its opposite point, the North Node, is like the needle of our compass, pointing us in the direction the soul seeks to go.”
