(Norfolk, VA) Penny Tration, of Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 5, will make a special appearance in Hampton Roads on January 11th, 2013 at 10:30 pm at the HeBar, in the back of the Hershee Bar at 6117 Sewells Point Rd in Norfolk, Virginia.  Cost of admission is $5 worth of non-perishable pet food or cash. Jello shooters will be available and all monies received along with those received at the door will go to the Pet Food Pantry.

Penny Tration, Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 5 Viewer’s Choice Contestant, will star in a benefit show this Friday for the Mr. Wiggles Pet Food Pantry at the Hershee Bar www.facebook.com/thehersheebar?ref=ts&fref=ts in Norfolk. Ru Paul’s Drag Race is a popular reality drag competition show on the Logo network that starts its 5th season on January 28th. Penny started performing in 1992 and honed her skills before embarking to New York City from her native Cincinnati in 2000. She returned home to Ohio two years later and focused on a career in a self- produced local cabaret as well as producing many benefits for HiV/ AIDS & breast cancer charities. This past November she was selected as RPDR Facebook fan favorite and a contestant in this season’s competition.

The event is hosted by local drag sensation Eunita Biskit, also known as ‘That Crazy Bearded Lady’ who has emceed drag shows in the Hampton Roads area for over five years. The show includes other local drag queen performers, such as:  Sharon Husbands of Richmond, Jasmine Spaulding, Lily Dolce & Alessandra McQueen of Hampton, Virginia.  The Infamous Ms. Biskit hosts a Friday night show at Hershee Bar and is known for her benefits and comedy shows.

Mr. Wiggles Pet Food Pantry is a non-profit organization assisting pet owners who are dealing with financial difficulties due to loss of job or other unexpected crisis. The organization has recently depleted most of its supplies sending much needed items to people in New York & New Jersey affected by Hurricane Sandy. In addition to pet foods, they graciously accept donations of new or slightly used pet accessories.

Hershee Bar has been at its 5 Points location in Norfolk for nearly 30 years and has hosted many benefits for the lgbt Hampton Roads community.
